RVL Update - Day 11
It is the morning of Day 11 and I just got out of bed after a long night at election parties last night. I am officially down 8 pounds!!! And....I had my first piece of clothing be too big! Have to admit, that hasn't happened in a while! So very excited for RVL! Please let me know if I can hook you up with this. It's truly amazing.

RVL - Day 6
Day 6 started and still going strong!!!
The cravings have started to slow down...thank goodness!! Pray for me to hold up this weekend as all that Halloween candy enters my house! Hopefully the kids will get a bunch of stuff that I don't like anyway. Normally I don't have a problem with candy, but since I haven't had any sugar since Saturday....well, we'll see.
RVL has been quite a blessing for me in a way that I first had not imagined. It's been wonderful to have my breakfast, lunch and snacks already ready for me. I don't have to think about it. I don't have to plan it. I don't have to go to the grocery store for it! My typical week normally resulted in at least one drive-thru visit because I forgot to plan a meal out for myself. Now, I don't have to worry about it! I've been keeping some snack bars in my bag so even though I'm on the go, I have my snacks with me and can eat them at the right time!
We still don't know the exact price, but from what I'm hearing, it will be comparable to what you would spend on breakfasts, lunches and snacks anyway! What do you have to lose??? Except a lot of weight you don't need anyway!!!
There are only a few more days to sign up for this people!! If you don't, you'll be waiting until January!

RVL - Day 4
OK Everyone!!! I started MonaVie RVL on Sunday morning so have been on it for four days!!! So far, so good.
I was really worried about being hungry and that just hasn't happened. When I've found I've been hungry, I've realized it's time to eat again!
I'm still drinking the shakes with water. I think for those of you that like milk, it would taste really good with milk. I just can't tolerate milk so water it is! But, don't get me wrong...they taste really good with water.
The snack bars look really small, but they are very filling. Personally, I think I like the chocolate more than the berry, but the berry are very good as well.
My only "bad" thing happened this morning. I woke up with a HORRIBLE migraine. For those of you that don't know me, I have quite the Pepsi addiction. Well, I had my last Pepsi Saturday night and have only been drinking water all day with one glass of sugar-free Kool-Aid with dinner. So, I started having serious caffeine and sugar withdrawals that hit my body this morning. The headache lasted until about 3pm, but then was gone. That has probably been the only thing I've noticed affecting me is that I'm still craving my Pepsi, but other than that, all is going well.
We had an appointment with my doctor on Monday and she's very excited about MonaVie RVL and what it can do. She's going to be monitoring me throughout this process, but thinks it's just what my body needs to jump start my metabolism. In her words, if MonaVie's putting it out, it's got to be good!
Would appreciate your prayers as I go through this!

Day One
Have almost completed Day One with no problems. I drank my first RVL shake this morning. It was really really good. I added in my MonaVie Pulse when I mixed it up, but thinking I will drink them separately from now on.
I forgot to bring my AM snack bar with me to church so unfortunately missed the opportunity to munch on that. Drank my second shake at lunch and it was just as good as the first.
Ate one of the chocolate snack bars this afternoon and it was unbelievably good. It tasted like a Twix candy bar...just without the caramel.
I haven't been hungry at all today. The only "side effect" I've experienced is a slight headache because I haven't had the caffeine that I normally drink.
Will be eating my dinner soon!
If anyone is interested in starting this now, we need to get you signed up by November 1st. If you're not signed up, you'll have to wait until January! Contact Steve or I if you're interested!

Weight Loss
I, like so many others, have horrible problems losing weight. It's not for lack of trying. We are very careful what we eat in our family. I exercise during the week...twice a week with a trainer. At one point, I was working out 5-6 days a week and had a doctor-approved meal plan. I still wasn't losing anything. No matter what I tried, nothing worked.
As many of you know, my schedule is crazy. For those of you who don't know, I'll recap. I am the wife of what many would label a "local celebrity." My husband has a very popular radio show and his time is in high demand. If he's not out of the house somewhere, he's on the phone with someone or reading something for someone or on the computer working on something for someone. I end up helping him as much as I can with this "stuff" that he's constantly got on his plate.
We have three children whom I homeschool. Our oldest daughter is nine. In a given week, she attends Learning Rx three times a week, PE, guitar and singing lessons. Our middle child is five. In a given week, she attends PE and ballet. Our baby is three. He's not so much into anything anymore, but he follows along with us really well. We also have church events that we go to frequently.
In addition to all this, I am back in school working on my master's degree in Biblical Counseling. I am almost done, but still have four hours of lectures to listen to on a weekly basis plus weekly papers that have to be written.
Why do I tell you all this??? BECAUSE I AM BUSY!! I really don't have any time to count my calories or my points. I'm lucky I'm getting to the gym to work out as much as I am.
I think I've finally FINALLY found something that will work with my schedule. MonaVie is about to come out with a new product called RVL (or Reveal). Reveal includes a meal replacement shake and snack bars. I just got accepted into their pilot and my box of goodies came yesterday!!
So, why am I blogging about it??? I want to share this with you! MonaVie is an amazing company and I know the results will be HUGE.....or SMALL.....well, you know what I mean! I am going to be blogging about my experiences with this product as long as I am on it.
If you're interested in learning more about it, please contact me at amydeace@aol.com. If you sign up with MonaVie by November 1st, you can order your RVL on November 2nd!! If not, you'll be waiting along with the rest of the country and will have to wait until January! Please join me in making 2011 a much healthier and RVL'ing year!!!

Age Appropriate Chores
Below is a link to a Focus on the Family article on finding Age-Appropriate Chores for your children. Thought that some of you would find it as helpful as I found it.
